Oooh boy.
Kiena kept the grimace from her face, trying to hold the smile that currently curved her lips. It was a bit harder than she thought it would be, what with – let’s count! One, two, three, four, fiv – no she’d counted him twice. One, two, three, four, five men advancing on her. It was pathetic what they would resort to to get her clothes off. Ganging up on a woman, of all things, and they were damn good at it too. How often did they do this sort of thing? She hadn’t even seen the last one until she’d nearly ran into his arms which did more than excite him. Kiena tried to keep the nervousness from her eyes. She was running out of options, and fast. She racked her brain, trying to think of something quick as they closed in on her like damn sharks. She couldn’t take all of them on.
The drooling smirks on their faces both disgusted and scared her. The last thing she wanted was to be taken like this. And by more than one man! She wondered if they noticed the shiver that ran down her spine. But maybe, maybe that was what she could use. Any emotion of weakness that had began to crack through disappeared, her hand fluttering to set on her hip as she shifted all of her weight to one foot. She could see their eyes flash, see the aura of lust sparking. The air grew tenser, making her more uncomfortable than she already was. Her gaze level and almost playful, Kiena forced herself to make eye contact with each and every one of them. As if she’d stopped them with her eyes, the men stopped walking toward her, making a loose ring around the place she stood. The sun was going down to her right, casting each of them in a dull orange light. Kiena swallowed when one of them continued forward. She assumed he was the leader, his eyes the darkest of the lot. His sudden proximity forced words from her mouth. “Can I help you?”
He smirked broadly, close enough to brush against her. He smelled of alcohol but Kiena was sure this was part of his sober nature as well. When he spoke, his accent, the accent of the uneducated, was heavy. “Aye, ya culd, if ya’d be so kind.”
[/i] Kiena kept her face still, smiling lightly at him. The ring around her seemed to get smaller, the men anxious to be close to her. The less space she had, the more the panic set in. She had had a plan, one she expected would work fantastically. However, with the impending threat of what they intended to do, her mind began to go blank, reacting on instinct. Her eyes closed as she smiled, trying to mask her fear. She could not take on five men. Not in this proximity. “My apologies,” she answered. “I’ve an agenda elsewhere.”She hadn’t even taken a step when strong hands gripped her upper arms, yanking her back against a broad iron chest. Her eyes grew wide, unable to stop the panic from showing on her face. And because of it, they’d thought they’d won. They moved in like vulture’s, but did not step before the man that had spoken to her. Her teeth grit, kicking out with her feet only to have them grabbed, putting her in quite a horrible position. The leader of this wolf pack smirked, pressing against her, one hand sliding up the inside of her thigh as the other ran filthy nails over her cleavage. She grimaced, fighting as well as she could with being held on all sides. She should have tried. She should have tried to fight them, maybe she could have gotten rid of one before they took her down. Now . . . Now, five times, if not more. She shook, her mind freezing, completely blank, devoid of thought, devoid of an answer as to how to save herself. Would she really suffer this? The pack leader was speaking to her, grunting out his lust in her ear before his tongue wet her neck. She couldn’t hear him, couldn’t understand. Her body was cold, numb, his hands approaching places she didn’t want them to be. Please, a mantra began, the only thought that passed slowly through her mind. God, help me.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Trey was sitting in a corner, of course with a hood on. Some terrible things had happened here the last time. Trey had killed a Captain, something had made him do it, the man had pointed a gun at his Captain and in a split second he had killed him. He still could not believe he was capable of such things. It was so hard, he was on leave for a bit, he was wondering what he should do about his situation, his past, his feelings for the Captain. It was then that he heard some thing out of the corner of his ear, normally he would let it go, but something tugged at his heart to go.
So with a umph, he got up, as he had a couple of drinks of course, what else would he be at a bar for. Trey stumbled slightly, sooooooo it was not just a couple, more like quite a bit. He placed several coins on the counter before stumbling out. He walked around the corner to where he had heard the noise, and to his amazement, was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen. His heart started to race, something urged him to help her, it was a feeling similar to that of his feelings for his Captains.
Maybe he knew her from his past that he had been taken from him, so he decided he would help her in his drunk stupor. Well he was not quite drunk just yet, but a few more drinks and he would be. He wondered how he would help her, surely he could take all five when he was not drunk, but he was somewhat drunk. So he decided to join in, so to speak. Trey crept up slowly and moved in on the circle. His hood still covered his face, so that it could not be seen, he did not think that the girl might just think he was wanting to join in, although at this point he would not have minded with how she looked.
Trey yanked one out of the circle fast, and threw him into a ditch near by. The others were to drunk to notice that a random man just replaced one of their band. They were getting to frisky for Trey so he decided that he would just have to take them out quick. So with some damn nice foot work, he swept his leg underneath theirs, causing them to fall flat on their backs. It was then that he rammed his staff into their chests. When he stood up fully his hood fell to his back, revealing no other then Trey Carter, Red Dawn.

For a moment, for the briefest of moments, Kiena felt a sort of relief. Her body had gone numb. Wonderfully, gloriously numb. Perhaps the fates, though cruel in the events to come, had taken pity on her and allowed her to skip the pain. But. A touch, rough fingers, sharp teeth: she was brought spiraling back down to land. She couldn’t cry out, both her pride and fear choking her throat. Yet, tears welled in her eyes, and underneath her unsounded cry for help, a sob began to form. In her panic, she had lost any hope of saving herself. Being taken off guard had been a massive blow but then to be caught by arms stronger than hers, handled by filthy men like this. Had she done so much to deserve this retribution?
Her eyes squeezed close, her only defense against the assault. Heat, filthy, dirty, alcohol-coated heat covered her body but she was cold, but painfully aware of the foreign skin touching hers. The heat was a presence itself, sucking away the warmth from every limb, making the world slow, the unwanted touches last for eons, everything remaining too long, promising to take longer than her mental state could adhere to. Kiena turned her head away weakly when lips pressed hungrily against hers, tears finally filing her eyes enough to fall when her head was yanked back, her breath stolen by the unwelcome tongue in her mouth. Then, suddenly, it was gone, and every presence, the physical ones to that of heat, were gone. For a moment, the world still slowed, she was floating. Her eyes opened and then the world caught up to her, plummeting her to the ground after the man that had held her torso back.
Kiena, from an onlooker’s view, was dazed. She looked almost dead, her legs crooked underneath her, her top skewed showing off more than it normally did. It took her a long moment to realize what had happened, the bodies of the man groaning on the ground, trying to get back up. Kiena made a soft noise, her voice in her control once again. It was a desperate sound and she moved to scramble away from the men when something new shattered her reality. A staff thrust into the chests of the men, one at a time, no doubt cracking a few ribs at their gruff screams. The fear making Kiena’s limbs shake was joined by another emotion: anticipation. She was almost afraid to lift her head. Many people used staffs, but this one – could it be that –
Her head lifted slowly, a shaking hand pushing her sleeve back onto her shoulder. Her hair parted, breath again leaving her at the figure that stood above her. She tried to say his name, but instead her tears ran freely down her cheeks, blurring the picture in front of her. It was impossible. Trey Carter, Red Dawn, her missing fiancé. He was here, he – had seen her. Like this. Her teeth grit, eyes closing, but she couldn’t stop the tears, her emotional barriers constructed from being a pirate long-since crumbled. She reached out, but her hand fell back to the dirt, her energy expelled. Her voice was broken but tinted with hope, quivering with fear but littered with happy exhaustion. “Trey.” She stumbled over the word, voice choked with emotion, eyes conveying the same thing as they stared up at him. She knew, she knew he wouldn’t leave her. He’d come back. He’d saved her. He was here with her again. Trey.

He heard her soft voice... it was so beautiful. She was weak, he raced behind her, and caught her. He held her in his strong arms, could it be that he actually knew her. Trey wondered if maybe she could answer his questions, he seemed to know her, but then again not. She then called his name, she had to have known him.
This woman had such joy in her eyes at his sight, his eyes teared up, because he could not truly remember her. Trey pushed his hand through her hair, he also covered up her buzzoms, his tears fell onto her cheek. Trey did not want to tell her that he did not have the slightest idea who she was. It would break her heart, and it would put even more pain on Trey. He pulled her in close her face against his chest.
He was about to tell her that he did not remember when all of a sudden he saw them on a shop together. Their clothes were frantic to come off, they were ferocious with one another. God what passion, he had never seen such passion like this before, then he saw them making even more passion, he saw them making love. Why was it he remembered this but not her name, why could he remember this but not who he was...why?
Even more tears fell onto the woman from Trey, "I...I am sorry my lady...I have only the slightest of memories... I....I lost all of my memories a while ago... and they still have not come back. Please miss, I beg of you please do not be discouraged, I...I want to know who I am... I have no idea, the only thing I know is that my name is Trey Carter, other then that my mind is blank. I can't even remember if I have family or what, I can not even remember ..... I just can't... this...this sounds bad....but I remember us....us on a ship...in quarters...w...was their something between us.... Im so sorry." He really was every part of him shouted he was sorry, the tears in his eyes, the way he was positioned every thing.

Kiena’s lips parted when he pulled her into his arms, inhaling shakily. He smelled the same, of the sea and Kiena’s eyes closed as she breathed him in. His touches were like fire on her skin, warming her icy limbs, jolting her back to life. Just as suddenly as he had appeared, her harbored heartbreak at his disappearance was gone as was the fear that she would be hurt. Trey would save her if she could not save herself. She cried silently against his chest, gripping to his clothing, resolving to never let go of him. If she didn’t let go of him, he couldn’t vanish from her side again. She would do anything to make him stay, to stay beside him until the end. Now that she had found him, to lose him again would do more than break her heart. Trey was here, and it put the pain of losing him in a darker light. She reached up, her other hand still gripped tightly to his clothes, and pulled his head down gently as she lifted hers, burying her face into his neck.
However, escaping the assault and finding her missing fiancé was too perfect. She couldn’t have this big of an upside without a down. And it came, crashing her happiness to a halt. Trey confessed softly to her, his eyes pained, voice the embodiment of apology. Even still, the blow hit, her head having lifted to stare at him. He. Didn’t know her? He didn’t remember her? She didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t push him away, couldn’t leave him. Surely he hadn’t wiped his own memory. He had no need to. Red Dawn could have had anything and everything he wanted. What need would have for a new life? But only remembering his name. That meant.
Kiena’s eyes narrowed in confusion. She knew nothing of amnesia and so she did not know what to do, what to say to make him remember if anything could be said. The hand on his neck lifted to touch his face. Her eyes flickered from the path of her fingers to his eyes. The pain there was raw, real, eyes that did not lie to her, even now when he did not know her name. “Trey.” Her voice was barely a whisper. It hurt her to think he would not remember her face, her name, even having forgotten everything. But. She wouldn’t leave him, no. He wanted to know and he at least. Remembered something involving her. “You are Red Dawn and I – “ She stopped briefly, pained by having to tell him something like this. “I’m Kiena . . . Your fiancée.” Saying the words aloud confirmed the question that had been rising. No matter what, she would make him remember. He was not gone, just lost, and this time she would save him.

Even more tears came at hearing he was Red Dawn, he had hoped that it had not been so. All the terrible things that man had done, it was really him. He still had no memories, and then she claimed to be his fiance.. he was not doubting her on this.. nor even the Red Dawn, he just had a good life now, he had feelings for his Captain, and he knew he had feelings for this woman. What was he to do, he had no idea.
"So.. that is the half of me that is missing, Kiena...please do not think I doubt you, I believe you, but...that is why I have felt like half a man. This is going to be hard for you to hear... but if you are truly my fiance then...then you should know that... I am the First mate of Captain Cecillia.. on the Red Pheonix, and ... I have also fallen in love with her. Yet I have always been half of me, and I feel that this other half....this other half of my heart... you must carry, you must be the key."
He held her tighter, what was he to do. "Oh Kiena, t...this is so hard... I do not deny that I have feelings for her, and I do not deny that...part of me....my heart...it remembers you...and it still feels love for you...nay I still feel love for you... but another half... it feels love for my Captain. I feel that I am two separate people Kiena, the Red Dawn that you know, and the Trey Carter my Captain knows. So... tell me what am I to do.... I have become two people... and I feel that Red Dawn is stuck inside me some where... and maybe in time he will come out.. but I ... I feel that Trey...Trey Carter....who I am right now... is who I am for now.. . but still even this Trey Carter...who I am right now... feels love for you Kiena...but I am confused..."

Kiena was a pirate and perhaps the most dominate trait a pirate holds is greed. His words did more than spark it in her, they spread desperation among hope, depression among happiness. He loved her, he still did even without remembering her. He hadn’t known her name but he had felt it. She had not changed since the last time they had held each other and his body knew her when his mind did not. But there was another, another woman, a breech in what they had. Kiena did not want to share him. Trey, Red Dawn, was hers just as she was his. It was different to lay with someone for the touch than lay with someone just to be near them. But he had forgotten her, forgotten the love until only moments ago. Would the small account of what they’d had be enough?
It couldn’t be. Too late.
Without meaning to, she shivered, moving instinctively closer to her finance. Kiena’s choice of clothing wasn’t satisfactory for colder temperatures but in most cases she made due. However, with her fabrics ripped and held up by pressure alone and the memory of the horror she barely escaped still fresh, the cool wind that blew from the sea froze her to the bone. She trembled, holding tight to Trey as she set her head against his neck. She was only half-conscious of her slow freezing, the numbness that spread through her toes and fingers, the tip of her nose and ears. Kiena was more concerned with the tears on her cheeks, her futile efforts to stop them. She hated to cry, she absolutely hated it. Being a female pirate was hard enough – the past events proof enough for that – but showing weakness only made the stereotypes true. White Lily or not, Kiena was a woman at heart.
And cry she did, silently, trying to bite back her sobs. Her success was short lived, the sound of movement behind her making her go rigid, a choked sound falling from her lips. Had Trey’s clothing had feeling, they’d have been screaming from the force she held them with, her knuckles white as bone from the tightness of her grip. Her breathing grew slightly irregular, eyes closing tight. The fear that shot up her spine only made her cry harder, not only from the obvious but from the small string of doubt in Trey. He was only part of the man he’d been before. His reaction on hearing he was Red Dawn had been less then she had expected. He had cried. Perhaps he wasn’t. Maybe he wasn’t. Kiena’s forehead dropped to Trey’s shoulder, voice breaking as the words rushed from her mouth. She wouldn’t doubt him. He was just. Sleeping. And Kiena would wake him up. “Trey, I will – I will make you remember. You knew my face so that means that you’ve not lost everything. I won’t let you disappear again!” The cold set in, something deeper than the wind that kissed her flesh. She'd never felt quite so pathetic. She'd never felt so . . .
Insignificant.

For some reason this woman crying, it did not fit her, it was something that screamed in the back of his mind that it was not right. She should not be crying, that she was a strong woman that did not cry. He sighed and then put his index finger under her eye and wiped away the tears that lay upon her face. "Oh If I could remember this instant of everything, I would Kiena. I hate not being able to remember my past, its despicable at best."
"Yet you must not cry my sweet, for as sure as the oceans have waves, I will have my memories. I will not let them go with out me remembering, and I will remember everything about you. It will take time, and you will have to have patience." It seemed that a bit of Treys old self came through, his commanding tone, his features, all of the things that made her love him shined through in that one instant. "If I could just know what caused all this to happen then maybe...just maybe I could remember."
He sighed as he pulled Kiena closer, so she could share in his warmth, that way she would not be cold any longer. His lips pulled in closer to her forehead and then it made contact, that was something he always use to do, and subconsciously he had done it once again. The feeling he felt from that felt so right, he could not help but let his mind wander at all the things he had done with this woman.
Few images poured into his head as his cheeks lit up a rosy pink. The passion he had seen, it was amazing, and maybe for one... no what about his Captain. He was so confused, yet his mind wandered and his lips fell short of her forehead, and had reached a different destination, they had touched Kienas lips, and that started the kiss. He then pulled away from it, as his cheeks lit up once again, "I...I am sorry...my mind wondered and..." He did not know what to say next so he just left it at that.

Kiena shivered at the sudden change in his voice. She could hear it, hear him, Red Dawn, in him. But was it due to the desperate feeling to have him as he was? Memories. Yes. He may have them, but what portion of them would contain Kiena? A fraction? Would this sickness of forgetting plague him until death? Would he only remember this moment, where a woman he believes he’s never seen telling him they were engaged in a life he forgot? Would she fade from this place too and he would ride the ocean, demoted to first mate, under a wench that had snared his attention? And what of her? What of Kiena, if he didn’t recover, where did that leave her?
As if he had heard her thoughts, lips pressed against her forehead, soothing the constant questions, the increasing doubt. Perhaps his voice had not been in her head. If she had not exhausted herself from the crying she had only just stopped, she may have started again. His warmth, though great, was not enough to calm her trembling body which clung to him like a life line. Her head tilted toward the lips on her skin, lips parting. She wanted him here, forever, this man that was showing through now. Would he fade again? Those same lips left her, her eyes opening to seek them out, only to find them setting on her own, if only for a moment. His apology was barely heard in Kiena’s confused happiness. Was her presence with him forcing Red Dawn to awaken in Trey Carter?
Kiena touched his face, desperate for the feeling of his skin under hers. Her lips found his. Regardless of what he had become, he was changing. He would be Red Dawn again. He would be hers again. Kiena kissed him gently, resisting the urge to deepen it. He would be that person but right now, he was far from him. His taste drove her mad. While his mind had changed, his body had not as if to taunt her. She was so close to having her fiancé and yet he was so far away. Kiena broke the kiss before her restraint snapped, fingers tightening slightly on his face as she lowered her head a notch. “What do you,” her eyes flickered up to find his, “remember of me?” She lifted her head now, studying his face. Her fingers slid over his features until they reached his ears, tucking strands behind them so they wouldn’t block his face from her sight. “Of us?”

This was to real, it was too much, what was he to do, he already promised himself to this woman, and just not to long ago, when he had no clue to who this woman was, he promised himself to his Captain. Then she had kissed him, he was so confused he had no idea what to do now. Hell, their were two women who wanted him, and he wanted both, if only they could share, or if only their were two of him.
The kiss, he wished she had deepened it deep down inside of him, he wanted to do so many things with her, even though he had barely any recognition of her. It was his heart calling out, it wanted her as well as the Captain. She then asked him what he had remembered of her, of them together. That made his cheeks go super pink, he would have to tell somebody he really did not know... right now at least... of what he saw them doing.
He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. His cheeks only got brighter, "I...I....well uh....It sounds kinda bad but....I remember us.....ship.......cabin......bed..........steamy..." Was all he could manage to say, it was so embarrassing to him, he had no clue what to say and then it hit him, like his old self began to speak. "I remember your hips creating friction against mine, how I drove into you with such force that made you scream my name." His fingers caressed her cheek and then went through her hair.
"I remember how your ample buzzoms were almost to big for my hands to grasp, and how tight you were. Oh I remember things that we did, ever so ............ good. The way your legs would move and I thrusted, the way your hands went through my hair and scratched at my chest, oh how I remember the passion you and I shared... the late nights...every night.... yet that is all I can recall my sweet." With that it seemed the old Trey came back and he blushed even more...and then..."Aye that is what I remember."

His blush made her tilt her head. It wasn’t often Red Dawn’s cheeks colored from embarrassment but Kiena did her best not to dwell on the memories of it. She didn’t like that she could remember and he could not. His words caught her off guards all the same. She blinked, unsure of how to respond. It was like him, the other him, to talk like that, to say things just to make her face red. The heat on her face increased as he touched her blush, her eyes casting briefly to the side. Kiena held onto the moment, embarrassing as it was. Because in this moment, it was Red Dawn that held her, not the shell of him. Unconsciously, she reacted as she would have then before, drawing slightly away from, despite the cold. Her hands still clutched his clothing, knowing not to let go.
But as suddenly as it had come, it was over. The new Trey Carter was back, talking quieter, talking with embarrassment and flushed cheeks like her own. Could he. Could he switch? She looked up at him suddenly, staring at his face. She inhaled sharply, deeply. Maybe . . . The switch between the polite confusion and the sharp confidence was quick but brief. Maybe some part of him, that half that wasn’t him, only lay dormant. Maybe Red Dawn just slept. He couldn’t really just be gone. He couldn’t have fallen away from his body and let this new version of himself grow. No, Red Dawn would never do that. He was too strong for that. A mix of the emotions bore from the sounding of his only memories and the emotions from her own weak pep talk forced her to lean back toward him again.
She kissed him again, a bit deeper than she’d meant to. Kiena didn’t bother to try and hide the slight embarrassment of his words, like hearing them from a stranger who had dreamt of her. Red Dawn was somewhere in this body and the words warmed her in more than one way. Again she broke the kiss prematurely, trying to gain control of herself. What would he say if he knew who'd he become? She pressed her forehead against Trey’s, eyes closed as she struggled to breathe. This wasn’t fair. How was this fair to her? What had she done so wrong that she need be punished like this? It almost didn’t even matter that his body still felt her presence because it felt the vibes of another, another woman had stolen the half of his heart he had to give away. In her heartbreak, she didn’t realize she had said nothing in response, nothing to keep this man that did not know her at her side.

Trey blushed even more as he noticed her blush, god what was he doing. It was so embarrassing, he did not even know this woman, well not the current Trey. Then she kissed him with more passion then the last, what was he to do, he had no idea he was just so damn confused. His body wanted to feel her once again, he now knew his body remembered the feeling of them, and it wanted her again,. Yet he had Captain, what was he to do.
In the heat of their passion neither noticed the men getting up and leaving in a hurry to get their mates. It was then that they returned in a hurry with several more people, probably their entire crew, they were really large. Trey heard the footsteps and then they began to yell cruel and drunk things, such as whore and many more. Treys eyes lighted up with fire, yet they had this cold glare to them, it was a look that only Red Dawn had. It was the look he had the very same day he killed a hundred men.
He set Kiena down, "I am sorry but I must deal with this." He was not just Trey Carter... he was TREY CARTER the RED DAWN..... at this moment. It was in his eyes, it was in the way he moved....it was in everything about him. It seemed all it would take was just a wake up call and this is what he needed, he cracked his neck and smiled, before his knuckles cracked next. His mouth turned into a grin, the grin of Red Dawn.
"Damn that blasted fruit that took my memory and put this pussy of a man inside of me... well it looks like I need some one to take my anger out, and then maybe I might just need some comfort afterward." He said as he looked back to Kiena and winked. "I have yet to discover what power that fruit gives me, but I should not need it even in this rusty body of mine." He smiled once again before taking his staff and putting it in his typical position.
"Have at ye Mates, indeed it seems like a beautiful day to die for you mates..." Just like that he was off in the middle of the pirate crew, they charged and he swept his staff underneath their legs, it was hardly a fair fight. He then bludgeoned one mans head... the light exited the mans eyes. Red Dawn then went into a berserk frenzy, as his movements were swift and graceful, his blows were all of the killing kind. He kept at it till only one man was left... the Captain..."Aye go find your self a new crew...and spread the word Red Dawn has awakened." It was then that he walked back to Kiena, he took her in his arms set her on her feet, not even caring if her clothes fell to the ground, he then placed his lips upon her, in a deep passionate kiss. "Truthfully, I have no idea how long I may last like this, it seems I have been split in two... so I may turn at any moment."

Kiena flinched, the voices of the men she had forgotten about jolting her out of the sort of false land the two of them had been thrust into. Her lips parted, eyes widening. Why was she so weak? What happened to her? She could not look at them or draw her sword. She could only grip tighter to Trey and lower her head. Fear made her body tremble, made it tense, made it ache from the refusal to move from this position no matter how many hands tried to lay her out. She did not notice the change in Trey’s eyes because of it. Her own fear covered the change in his aura and she nearly cried out when his hands switched positions to set her to the side. Her hand reached for him desperately – don’t leave me – but he spoke with a voice that sent her fear away as quickly as it had come.
Her eyes locked with his, briefly, for only a second before he turned away, for long enough for her to see the fire that had shown in Red Dawn’s eyes, the one that was absent in Trey Carter’s. "Red Dawn . . . " Her hand drew back to her chest, holding her torn clothes into place. Again she forgot about the men that threatened them. The world seemed to have washed away, everything except for the man standing with his back to her. Red Dawn. Her attention was solely on him, the words spilling from his mouth eaten up by her starved affection. A fruit? A goddamn fruit had stolen his memories? This – this whole god forsaken mess – was to blame on a fruit?! Her fingers tightened, the only person she could think to be angry at being Red Dawn. To hear something like that, she almost wanted to punch him. A fruit!
He turned to look at her and she jolted slightly, startled by the dully familiar look he gave her. C-comfort! He really did have the nerve, didn’t he? Kiena felt her body relaxing, her heart at ease for the moment. He was back to normal. Just like that. She watched him succeed, the only thing he knew how to do. He nearly danced before her, dodging and countering attacks that had no challenge for a man of his caliber. Kiena watched in a sort of awe. It had been so long. Since she’d seen him fight. Since he’d protected her. She blinked away the rising tears, trying not to be weak for the thousandth time. Now it was her fiancé and she refused to loose him because of her inability to stay strong for him.
The last man was let go and he stumbled backwards before bolting from the area. He left his crew behind to bleed out their last bit of strength in the dirt. Kiena’s eyes lifted quickly from the carnage when she saw Trey's feet turn toward her. Her lips parted, the emotion in her eyes too great to put into words. He was lifting her and for a moment she wasn’t sure if her legs would hold her. Her hands clutched to his shirt again, head rising to meet his kiss. It ended to soon, the taste somehow different now that he knew who she was, who he was. She opened her mouth to speak but he spoke first and she flinched slightly.
'I have no idea how long I may last like this - '
The White Lily looked away as she once again fought back tears. It was nearly impossible, his words like a knife in her back. Kiena couldn’t do this. She couldn’t be pulled around like this anymore and that knowledge made her head turn quickly toward his. She shook him slightly by his shirt, gritted teeth opening in an attempt to yell but falling far short. “You can’t do that!” Her head lifted, confusion and anxiety ripe in her expression. “You can’t leave me again! Do you have any idea – do you – I spent – I can’t – “ She stopped, unable to put her words into sentences, unable to say everything she wanted to say and everything he needed to hear in a coherent string of words. Kiena choked, hands lifting to cup his face. “I hate you so much,” she sobbed, before pressing her lips against his.
